services providedWe provide daily supervision, nutritious meals, medication supervision, on-site activities, transportation to and from off site activities and appointments, caring staff, and a Christian family environment. We have two dorms, one men's and one women's. Each dorm has a houseparent on duty 24 hours a day and we maintain a small staff for the familiarity and comfort of the residents. Our staff truly cares about each individual and helps us maintain a safe and loving environment for each resident. |
Activities & Community involvement Our residents are active members of the local community. Each dorm delivers Meals on Wheels weekly. We participate in the Adopt A Highway program and are also involved in a local church. We attend community functions whenever possible and enjoy fun outings to the movies, library and more! We also have on-site activities at our multi-purpose building, which has an indoor gym and swimming pool. There the residents exercise, enjoy crafts, play games, swim and celebrate special occasions. |
Our residentsWe are licensed by Texas Health and Human Services as an Assisted Living Facility. As such we have specific criteria that must be met for admission. According to our licensing standards all residents must be 18 years or older, ambulatory and not a danger to themselves or others. Our residents range in age and disability. Some examples of the individuals we care for are those with Down syndrome, autism and other mild intellectual disabilities. We do not provide skilled care, on-site medical services or behavior modification treatment. |
Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them-not because you must, but because you are willing. ~ 1 Peter 5:2
